Ingredients:


1 pound northern beans, soaked and rinsed
1 yellow onion, cut into half
1 garlic heat, top trimmed off
Salt and black pepper to the taste
2 cloves
1 bay leaf
6 cups water

For the duck:


1 pound duck, ground
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1 yellow onion, minced
2 carrots, chopped
Salt and black pepper to the taste
4 ounces canned green chilies and their juice
1 teaspoon brown sugar
15 ounces canned tomatoes and their juices, chopped
A handful cilantro, chopped


Directions:


1. Put the beans in your Slow cooker, add the whole onion, garlic head,
cloves, bay leaf, the water and salt to the taste, stir, cover, cook on High
for 4 hours, drain them and put them in a bowl.

2. Clean the slow cooker, add oil, carrots, chopped onion, season with salt
and pepper, duck, chilies, tomatoes and sugar, stir, cover and cook on
High for 3 hours more.

3. Divide on duck and beans mix plates and serve with cilantro sprinkled
on top.
