1 yellow onion, chopped
2 tablespoons butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
1 tablespoon ginger, grated
1 and ½ teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon cumin, ground
1 and ½ teaspoons coriander, ground
1 teaspoon turmeric, ground
Salt and black pepper to the taste
A pinch of cayenne pepper
15 ounces canned tomatoes, crushed
¼ cup lemon juice
1 pound spinach, chopped
3 pounds chicken drumsticks and thighs
½ cup cilantro, chopped
½ cup chicken stock
15 ounces canned chickpeas, drained
½ cup heavy cream


1. Grease your Slow cooker with the butter, add onion, garlic, ginger,
paprika, cumin, coriander, turmeric, salt, pepper, cayenne, tomatoes,
lemon juice, spinach, chicken, stock, chickpeas and heavy cream, cover
and cook on High for 4 hours.

2. Add cilantro, stir everything, divide between plates and serve.
